Subhash Chandra Bose is popularly known as Netaji. Really he was a great leader.He was also a great freedom fighter.He was born Cuttack in Orrisa on 23rd January 1897.His father Jankinath was a lawyer.His mother Prabavathi was a religious lady.
Subhash was a brilliant student. He did his graduation in 1919. Then he went to England. There he passed in Indian Civil Services Examination with flying colours. But he returned to India to serve the motherland. He became the President of the Indian National Congress in 1938. Finally he formed the Indian National Army(INA) to get freedom for India.
He went to Germany and Japan to seek help for his army.But unfortunately he died in a plane crash in 1945. He gave us the famous slogan "Jai Hind"
